Tarjeta sanitaria: Your healthcare card

What does it mean?
The tarjeta sanitaria identifies you when using Spain’s public health services. The competent regional health administration issues the individual card.
Do not confuse it with a residence card, a private insurance card or a European Health Insurance Card.
